Orthodontics for Kids, Teens, and Adults Phase I treatment (Early interceptive treatment):
Most patients do not need orthodontic treatment until the age of 10 to 12. However, Phase I treatment or early treatment is sometimes needed on young patients between the ages of 7 and 10.
The primary objective of early treatment is to treat early orthodontic problems that can potentially cause permanent changes or damages to facial structure, jaw alignment, and bite.

Some examples that would require phase I treatment are:
> Retruded mandible
> Protruded mandible
> Deep overbite
> Severe overjet
> Anterior and posterior crossbite
> Finger sucking habit
> Lip suction habit
> Tongue thrusting habit

Common Early Treatment Methods:
> Partial braces
> Clear aligner
> Headgear/facemask
> Active retainers
> Space maintainer
> Functional Appliances
> Rapid Palatal Expander
> Habit appliances.

Comprehensive Orthodontics: Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment can vary from simple 6-9 month treatment to 24-30 month surgical treatment. All patients will be given a detailed treatment plan and options at the consultation visit. Almost all treatments will have multiple treatment options including traditional metal braces, clear ceramic braces, and clear aligners.
Surgical Orthodontics: Patients with severe jaw misalignment may require a jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery). In cases of oral and maxillofacial (OMS) surgery, comprehensive orthodontic treatment will be needed 12-18 months prior to the surgery and 6-9 months after the surgery.

Type of Braces:
> Traditional Metal Braces
> Clear Ceramic Braces
> Clear Aligners:
> Invisalign Aligners
> 3m Clarity Aligners

We will discuss pros and cons of each option and choose the best treatment option based on your needs! We will also give you the quickest, most effective and comfortable treatment possible.
